Good attorneys for divorce
I used Dianne Drew Butler & Associates for my divorce. Her company was very professional and helpful. We were in a collaborative situation and Dianne worked tirelessly to come up with ideas and solutions to move the divorce forward. Apparently my wife didn't like the direction the divorce was going so she decided to fire her attorney. Because we were in collaborative (by law) I too needed to hire another attorney. I feel Dianne is excellent negotiator but in the collaborative process you can't accomplish anything without two "yes'" from each of the parties and my wife wasn't willing to budge on anything....
Dianne and her team were very good at explaining the complicated issues surrounding my divorce. Dianne helped to close our family business informing me through each and every step. She also assisted in a tough child custody battle which resulted successfully.
Beware! If this is your first Divorce, and you were an at home mother for most of the long term marriage, Dianne is not for you. Even though my ex said that he knew he had to pay, Dianne continually refused to request the Judge order payment from him, never explaining to me why. He has a great paying job, and I couldn't get hired because I had been out of the work force for so long. Plus, Dianne was fully aware of the abuse my son and I endured from this man. I had to take out a loan in order to pay her, and have just recently been able to pay it off. Still driving a car that needs a new transmission, hoping it will last. But what really got me is how, when in Court, I had to watch her rub the back, and massage the shoulders of my ex's Attorney. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Adding to my Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that Dianne was also aware of. But I didn't have the funds to change attorneys. When I expressed my fear of payment, her response was "We can file for Bankruptcy, our office does them." Looking to get more money from me. I never knew the correct questions to ask, and felt in the dark about everything. So be very careful when burdened with the task of seeking an attorney for what can be one of the most horrible parts of life.
My review is specifically for Ranette. I have had limited dealings with Dianne but was extremely impressed with Ranettes ability to straddle empathy with professionalism. She was honest and upfront with us and above all was someone we felt we could trust with our sensitive dealings.
