No decent food in vending machines, soda, energy drinks water, but No juice. I was traveling with 2 12 year old boys. Junk food city and nothing to walk to get even fast food.
Have your ride ready immediately upon arrival. Don't loiter around outside.
Staff is friendly and always willing to help. The train stage area is nicely done for boarding and unloading. However the inside could use a major remodel. Hopefully they remodel the inside. Beyond this it’s not that bad of a station.
Ok, pretty much a regular normal experience.
The place is not close to anything, always full, smells, and my train is usually late.
Notification, a call or text would have been helpful, so I could have made sure my boys had eaten something on the train...
Train was 2 hours late, they did offer small bottle of water and a snack pack. BUT, "Guaranteed Bus Connection" was NOT THERE upon our arrival in Stockton!!?
We were told we had to wait for next scheduled Bus that would be picking up people from train that left Fresno (after us) But it was on time.
I have been travelling with Amtrak on a very regular basis for more than 25 years and I am very upset and disappointed about how they treated the passengers from the late train.
