My first time going. A neighbor of mine suggested this church. Well, it's very big and pretty (inside and out); but it doesn't have a 'welcoming' feel. It reminded me of high school with all the different cliches and if you didn't/don't know anyone then you're just kind of sitting there looking like a lost puppy. I moved to Manteca from the Bay Area and have been looking for a church home for a few months now. Boy, do I miss Faith Fellowship in San Leandro! Anyway, I'd NEVER discourage anyone from attending this church or any church ~ however, Progressive definitely isn't the church for me...
Progressive Community Church is a Bible teaching and beliving church. If you open yourself up to it, you will be made to feel loved here.
I attended today for the first time. Praise with choir with spiritual and inspiring. The pastor's sermon was the first of a series on the Ten Commandments. The pastor mixed humor into an inspirational message taken from Exodus and other books of the Bible. I did not join today but I certainly plan to return.
A beautiful place to come before the Lord in praise and worship. Pastor Shields preaches the unadulterated word of God with power and conviction. It is the word preached and taught by Pastor Shields that sustains me from week to week. I believe him to be a man and minister of sustainable conviction and Faith. Minister Terry and the musical arts department are spiritually edifying.
A former member, moved to Texas. Each time i come to visit, I go home to Progressive. I, so far, have not found any place like it. I thank God for the teaching, love and fellowship in and out the walls of the church. THANKS EVERYONE. LOVE ALWAYS.
